Eye of the Goat

Martha finds inspiration from stories found in myth and folklore about native plants, animals, and especially birds.

"In ancient cultures, goats were considered sacred, often associated with strength, virility and fertility. It was also believed that a goat had magical and spiritual powers. One popular superstition held that if a goat climbs onto the roof of a house, it foretells disaster."
