Flight of the Elegant Thief

For our Flight exhibit Ninalee Irani created the most literal visual with birds in flight.  She says "I integrated its other meanings as well by designing these paintings as wine labels to reference a flight of wine. Le Vol is French for "the flight", but also refers to the actions of a thief. These lovely creatures who adore brilliant necklaces are mid-steal. Put all together, and you have wine label inspired paintings to illustrate the stories of these beautiful scavengers."
