"This series encompasses a dance between handmade and digital processes. The initial layers were some of my naturally dyed eco prints mounted onto panels. Clear wax and old topographic maps were then laid over top as image transfers. The top layers were created with botanical shapes I cut out from tape before painting over with white wax. When the tape is removed, it reveals the beautiful hidden worlds underneath. Each work is a celebration – an honoring of the places and memories that have shaped who I am today." - Sarah
