Originally from Columbia, SC Elizabeth Foster studied Studio Art and Art History at the University of Virginia, drawing at the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, and continued on to study art and teaching at the University of South Carolina.
Elizabeth loves to turn her everyday into a modern folk tale through narrative images. Most often the characters in her paintings are depictions of real life people unfolding their stories of struggle, triumph, and contemplation. In addition painting for galleries, she designs paper goods and other products for Hester & Cook. After many years living and working in Nashville TN, Elizabeth recently relocated to Greenville SC.
