The Thin Veil
- this artwork is one of a kind
"Last year, I traveled most of the summer and created art on the road from my mobile studio. My family and I parked our camper at a farm in New Mexico one night, where they had peacocks. I collected some of the feathers and worked up my first few feather cyanotypes that night. Those first feathers sparked a desire to create more. The symbolism of feathers resonated with me as I traveled and created wherever I landed with whatever was blown in on the wind.
I’ve worked to keep that free feeling in my art and in my soul. As I created each of these wet cyanotypes - mixed with rusty eco prints - I thought of all the things feathers remind me of. To let the winds of life flow through me. To soar above the stress. To let the discoveries I find along the way carry me ever farther. To let go, and allow things to unfold as they will. To fly to new heights every so often, and to always have a nest to come home to." - Sarah Treanor
