Michele is a guest artist for our "Floriography" exhibit. If you enjoy her work and are interested in seeing more pieces and/or a commission please reach out.

After earning a BA in Art Education and an MFA in Surface Pattern Design, Michele Aschenbrenner spent many years working as a creative director in textile design. While raising 3 boys she also made much of her family's decor and became more focused on painting.

Michele's inspiration of mid-century aesthetics and vintage paint-by-numbers, which she collects, is evident in her paintings. She focuses on flower patterns in happy color palettes, using gouache and acrylics in multiple thin layers to achieve a smooth finish. Her aim is to create feel good florals that are both vintage and modern.

After spending a few decades in the Carolinas, Michele now resides in Pennsylvania.
