After earning a BA in Art Education and an MFA in Surface Pattern Design, Michele Aschenbrenner spent many years working as a creative director in textile design. Currently focused on painting, she finds inspiration in mid-century aesthetics and vintage paint-by-numbers, which she collects. She focuses on flower patterns in happy color palettes, using gouache and acrylics in multiple thin layers to achieve a smooth finish. Her aim is to create feel good florals that are both vintage and modern.

After spending a few decades in the Carolinas, Michele now resides in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

New work for our WALLFLOWERS exhibit will be posted at 12pm Eastern, April 1st.
