Since the birth of her daughter in 2017, Kim Ferreira's paintings have focused on animals doing human things in idyllic settings, reminiscent of Rococo paintings. She calls the series ‘Joie de Vivre’, a French term used to describe the exuberant enjoyment of life. She still fumbles with the pronunciation, and still loves exploring different ways of honoring the little things that mean so much.
With two small children and limited time to paint, Kim created a line of paper goods featuring her sweet animals. Her notecards allow others to share art, spread joy, and create their own personal messages.
