Christina Keith's great blue heron is painted on top of layers of patterned transfers that have been cleared for reproduction/manipulation via the Creative Commons license, including watercolor paintings created in the late 1800s by British textile designer WIlliam Morris, and detailed zodiac maps dating to the early 1800s by Connecticut artist E. Burritt.
